The certification program is 100% online. There will be class interaction requirements but all can be completed online.
The Tarkenton Certificate features MBA-level content created and endorsed by UGA’s Terry College of Business and the Tarkenton Institute, but is not accepted as credit for any accredited degree program.
The certification requires approximately 100 combined hours of lectures and coursework. At an average pace of 4 hours per week, you can complete the program in 6 months or less.
Yes! We estimate the program will take approximately 6 months at a commitment of 4 hours per week, but the course is self-paced with progress milestones. Our program advisors will help keep you on track.
The Tarkenton Certificate program follows a pre-determined curriculum designed to give you the most comprehensive entrepreneurship education. Upon completion of each section, including both video lectures and assignments, the next section will be unlocked.
Yes! You can save your work as you go and complete it at a later time. Make sure you have a stable, uninterrupted internet connection to ensure that your work is saved.
Yes! You can retake quizzes and resubmit assignments as many times as you need to. Our program advisors and instructors are available if you need help.

Everyone who completes the program receives an official certificate from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia and the Tarkenton Institute.
Your account expires 12 months after enrolling. However, throughout the program you can download, save and print course materials and supportive documents for future use.
There are three options, depending on the nature of your question. You can pose questions to fellow students in the group, to the professor, or to our program advisors through the Tarkenton Certificate Contact page.
You certainly can! During the program, students have the option of creating their own business plan based on their own business idea, or completing a model plan based on pre-determined scenarios. If you develop your own plan, you are able to use it to build your business.

We recommend a 6.0 Mbps wireless or wired connection for a comfortable experience streaming video lessons. For mobile devices, cellular connections must be 4G or higher.
You can take a course using a shared wireless hot spot. However, be sure that you have a stable, uninterrupted connection. Shared wireless hot spots at coffee shops or public places may give less than desirable results due to the sheer number of users sharing the internet connection.
